Sam is an amazing little friend of ours who was diagnosed at the age of 6, with Metachromatic Leukodystrophy(MLD).   In May 2008, Sam started chemotherapy before undergoing an umbilical cord stem cell transplant.  The following November,he was finally able to come home, however, he will continue with medications and therapy that are not covered by insurance.   He has 2 websites, Sam's Story and CaringBridge, where you can read more and see videos and pictures of him.
